Monthly Pre-Payment Installment Plans
The Lucas County Treasurer’s Office offers two prepayment options (similar to escrow payments) to help you stay on track and budget throughout the year. TIPP (mail-in coupons) and ACHM (automatic withdrawal monthly)
1. TIPP
The basic TIPP plan offers the convenience of paying your taxes in advance, by mail or in person, using pre-printed monthly vouchers.
2. ACHM (Monthly Automatic Withdrawal)
This plan deducts your monthly payment directly from your checking account on the 15th of each month or the next business day should the 15th fall on a holiday or weekend. It's secure, confidential, and perfect for those who monitor their banking online.
This is a monthly PRE-PAY program towards your next upcoming half-year tax bill. Taxes MUST be paid in full to enroll. Depending on when you sign up within the current tax cycle, the system will calculate the amounts based on how many months remain before the next tax due date. Once the new tax cycle begins in February or August, the current half year amount will be divided by 6 monthly payments moving forward.
Cutoff dates and eligibility:
1st Half Tax: The cutoff date to enroll is OCTOBER 10th. Any forms submitted after this date will be entered into the system to begin in February. The 1st half bill will need to be paid in full by January 31st in order for the program to become active.
2nd Half Tax: The cutoff date to enroll is APRIL 10th. Any forms submitted after this date will be entered into the system to begin in August. The 2nd half bill will need to be paid in full by July 31st in order for the program to become active.
Manufactured and mobile homes are not eligible to participate.
