PRIVACY POLICY
The Lucas County Treasurer’s Office is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to its website, consistent with applicable law.
Collection and Use of Online Information
When you visit the Site, the Treasurer’s web server may automatically collect limited technical information, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address. This information is used to diagnose technical issues, maintain system security, and compile aggregate statistics regarding site usage. Lucas County Treasurer SMS Notification Program
Mobile Messaging Terms of Service
Effective Date: February 27, 2026
1. Program Description
The Lucas County Treasurer SMS Notification Program provides transactional text message notifications to taxpayers regarding their property tax accounts. Messages may include:
Delinquency notices
Payment reminders
Installment plan (DIPP) updates
Account status notifications
Grace period or default notices
Messages are informational and related to existing taxpayer accounts. This program does not send marketing or promotional messages.
2. Opt-In Consent
Taxpayers opt in to receive SMS messages by voluntarily providing their mobile phone number through official Lucas County Treasurer forms, including online submission forms and installment plan enrollment forms.
By providing a mobile number, the taxpayer consents to receive transactional text messages related to their property tax account.
Consent is not a condition of payment or services.
3. Opt-Out Instructions
You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message.
After you send the message STOP, you will receive a confirmation text that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive SMS messages from the program unless you opt in again.

5. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on account status. Taxpayers may receive periodic messages regarding payment due dates, delinquency status, or installment plan obligations.
6. Message & Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Charges are determined by your wireless carrier. If you have questions about your text or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.
7. Carrier Liability Disclaimer
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Privacy
Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS notifications will only be used for official Lucas County Treasurer communications regarding property tax accounts. Opt-in data and consent will not be sold or shared with third parties.
Other Websites
